Yesterday we announced our recent partnership with Menulog, Australia’s largest online takeaway platform, to deliver delicious food to customers around Sydney from restaurants who, until now, were unable to offer a delivery service. Now Menulog-listed restaurants in Sydney will be able to offer a delivery service, using Zoom2u to deliver food to their customers 7 evenings per week.
For most restaurants a food delivery service provides an extra source of income, but many find that the cost of employing their own drivers is just not affordable.
Through partnering with Zoom2u, Menulog has made it easier for restaurants to join and provide a delivery service to their customers. For a small delivery fee, restaurants will get access to an extensive customer base and revenue stream. Customers will be able to choose from a wider selection of restaurants and, using Zoom2u’s tracking technology, will be able to track exactly where their food is at every stage of the delivery process.
Over the past 12 months, Zoom2u has been making deliveries across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. The popularity of the 3 hour service has seen over 1000 new customers signing up to Zoom2u every month.
“We’re always looking for ways to improve the experience of our platform, so we’re pleased to be able to provide further delivery options to our customers. The partnership with Zoom2u will enable more restaurants to benefit from the additional revenue stream that a delivery service can provide,” says Brian Hickey, Director of Advanced Markets at Just Eat plc, Menulog’s parent company.
We look forward to working closely with Menulog delivering Sydney-siders a large selection of different cuisines from their favourite restaurants.
