How to book a courier
Zoom2u is a booking platform that connects you with independent drivers near you, so you can get an instant quote and book a courier in a couple of minutes.
What is Zoom2u?
Zoom2u is a technology platform, not a courier fleet. It connects customers who need something delivered with independent drivers who are nearby and available. You enter the job, and the closest driver on the platform chooses to accept it. There is no need to call around for quotes or wait on hold. Everything happens online, and you can see exactly where your delivery is from pickup to drop-off.
Drivers on Zoom2u are independent contractors. They decide which jobs to accept and run their own delivery work, so the platform simply matches your booking with the best-placed driver at that moment.
How booking works, step by step
Booking a courier takes a few minutes. Here is exactly what happens, from quote to delivery.
- Get an instant quote. Enter your pickup and drop-off suburbs and the platform shows you a price straight away. The price you see is the price you pay. You can get a quote before you commit to anything.
- Enter your pickup and drop-off details. Add the full addresses, a contact name and number for each end, and any notes about the parcel or access. Choose the service that suits your timeframe, such as VIP, 3 hour or same-day delivery, then place your booking.
- The closest independent driver accepts the job. Your booking is offered to drivers in the area, and the closest available driver on the platform accepts it. You then receive your tracking details and the driver's contact number so you can stay in touch if you need to.
- Track your delivery live on the map. Once a driver accepts, you can follow the job in real time on the live map. You will see the driver head to the pickup point, collect the parcel and make their way to the drop-off, so you always know where your delivery is.
- Photo proof on delivery. When the parcel is delivered, the driver captures photo proof of the drop-off location or has the delivery signed for, depending on your preference. The proof is saved against your booking, and you can rate the service afterwards.
Do I need an account?
You can get a quote without signing in. To place a booking and keep your delivery history in one place, create an account with your details and a password. Once you are set up, repeat bookings are faster because your information is saved for next time.
What can I send?
The platform handles a wide range of parcels and packages, from documents and small parcels through to larger items. If you are not sure whether something is suitable, take a look at the items we deliver before you book.
Choosing the right service
Different jobs need different timeframes, and you choose the service when you book. The most common options are:
- Fast VIP deliveries, for the most urgent jobs that need a dedicated driver.
- 3 hour deliveries, when you need it across town within a few hours.
- Same-day delivery, booked and delivered on the same day.
- Next-day delivery, for items that are not time-critical.
- After-hours deliveries, for evenings and weekends.
- Same-day interstate delivery, when your parcel needs to reach another city today.
If you would rather name your own price, you can suggest a price and see whether a driver on the platform takes the job.
Who is Zoom2u for?
Individuals use the platform for one-off urgent deliveries, while businesses use it to send orders, samples and documents to their customers. If you send regularly, the business accounts option is worth a look. You can also read genuine customer reviews to see how the platform works for people sending parcels every day.
