How Daniel got here
Daniel signed up for Zoom2u in September 2017. He was working hospitality shifts in Surry Hills at the time and would pick up two or three delivery jobs a day around them. He liked that he could clock in when he wanted, clock out when he had a catering gig to get to, and nobody was watching over his shoulder.
Within a year it was the other way around. He was full-time on Zoom2u with the occasional hospo shift for variety. Today he runs a small fleet of three cars across the Inner West and Eastern Suburbs, with two other drivers he trained himself.
His advice to new drivers: "Don't chase the long ones. Five short jobs in your home suburb beats one cross-city run every time. The platform learns where you are and feeds you what's nearby."
